Love Potion #1, “Arouse” is a blend of damiana leaf, rose, vanilla, vodka, local unpasteurized honey and water. Damiana is considered an aphrodisiac, an herbal that lifts our life energy or chi, bringing fire and passion into all aspects of our life. I find damiana may enhance libido, creativity, focus and relaxation. Rose is also a traditional aphrodisiac and is often given to lift our spirits. It can be a heart tonic for some people. Vanilla is the third traditional aphrodisiac in this blend. The scent of vanilla often reminds us of sweet baked goods and pleasant experiences.
Love Potion #2, “Tone” is a blend of raspberry leaves from my garden, apple cider vinegar and local unpasteurized honey. Raspberry leaves and fruit have been used to ease birth during labor. This plant can increase the flow of urine to flush our kidneys and tone pelvic floor muscles.
Love Potion #3, “Energize” is a blend of ashwagandha, rhodiola, eleuthero, schisandra, licorice, vodka and local unpasteurized honey. Ashwagandha may improve physical performance and strength, brain functioning including memory, and sleep. It may also boost testosterone and fertility in men, reduce blood sugar levels and inflammation. Rhodiola may have benefits similar to ashwagandha. Eleuthero (Siberian ginseng) may improve recovery from stress. It may also provide anxiety and depression relief and support heart health. Schisandra may aid healthy sexual function such as fertility and hormone production. It may also protect against neurological and psychiatric disorders, improve liver, digestive and adrenal function which promotes healthy skin. It is anti-inflammatory.
Love Potion #4, “Relax” is a blend of lavender, rose, skullcap, spearmint, valerian, lemon balm, vanilla, brandy and local unpasteurized honey. All of the herbs in this blend are nervines which may calm our nervous system, relieve headache, improve our sleep and ability to relax into sexual activity. Skullcap is an antispasmodic which may relieve menstrual, digestive and bladder cramping.
